This Privacy Policy explains how Sage Titans ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the CiteTitan (the "Service") at cite.sagetitans.com.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by Sage Titans, a registered partnership firm with its registered office at Suite 1, 2nd Floor, Sebiz Square, ITC 6, Sector 67, Mohali 160062, Punjab, India. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at legal@sagetitans.com. Under this policy, Sage Titans is the data controller for the information described below.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the Service:

• Account information: your email address and name, and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
• Content you provide: the brand and website domain you analyze, competitor domains, and the questions (queries) you choose to track.
• Analysis results: the results generated when you run an analysis, including scores, which sources AI engines cited, and the full text of the answers each engine returned. We keep the answer text so you can read what was actually said rather than only a score derived from it. Those answers are written by the AI engines and may name other businesses.
• Technical information: a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in, your theme preference (stored locally in your browser), and standard server logs such as IP address and request times.
• Payment information: when you purchase credits, payment is processed by our payment provider (Razorpay). We do not store your full card details on our servers.

3. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
• To run the analyses you request and show you your results.
• To manage your credit balance and process purchases.
• To send you essential account emails (verification, password reset, and receipts).
• To protect the Service against abuse and to operate it reliably.

4. Cookies

We use a single strictly necessary session cookie so that you stay signed in while using the Service. This cookie is essential for the Service to function and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Your theme preference is stored locally in your browser and is not sent to us. We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the Service.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service, including:

• Email delivery (Postmark), to send you account emails.
• Payment processing (Razorpay), to handle credit purchases.
• AI answer engines (currently Perplexity, OpenAI, Anthropic and Google), which receive the queries you choose to run so we can measure your visibility. We send the query text; we do not send your account details.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

6. Data retention

We keep your account information and analysis history for as long as your account is active, because your trends depend on your history.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at legal@sagetitans.com. We will delete your account, your services, your questions and your analysis results within 30 days of the request. Records we are required to keep for tax, accounting, legal or security reasons, such as invoices, are retained for as long as the law requires.

7. Security

We protect your information using industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit access to it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at legal@sagetitans.com.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be communicated by email or within the Service.
